Of course it’s not possible to give your attention to hundreds or thousands of people you follow. But there are tools you can use to track the ones you really value and catch the others as you find the time…or not. Information overload is a real issue. For me, anyway.

I imagine if a third party could do that, they would get Twitter’s attention in a big hurry! Twitter is really struggling with the spammer issue at the moment.

I joined Twitter a while ago but only started using it recently. There’s a lot of people in my professional niche that are networking on Twitter, and I want to put my presence out there. I don’t really know how many of my followers are real people, but I can say thanks to bit.ly statistics that there’s a good 20-30 people that click on just about every link I share.

I loved the story you Tweeted the other day about Facebook currency.. got me thinking about all these odd digital currencies in this age when our real currencies are in shambles. Should I invest in Euros, or Xbox points?

You’re right. There is no harm in them following except that it makes the term and the count of followers meaningless. Also, because of a service I set up I get an email every time someone follows me and seeing the statistics of those followers is annoying. So, I am suffering through my own devices. Some may be robots. Most are, I suspect, are ‘network marketers’.

What does it matter if “they” (or are they robots?) are following you. You don’t have to follow them. Are they getting away with something by following you?
